It is what I have been told always
That my mother has gonna live with God
It is what I have been told always
That God takes only those He loves
It is what I have been told always
That He loves my Mother
It is what I have been told always
That those He loves will never return
It is what I have been told always
That we live in no sorrow with God
It is what I have been told always
Not to cry when you miss her
It is what I have been told always
Close your eyes and pray for her
It is what I have been told always
My Mom comes to meet me as a bright star
It is what I have been told always….
But I wonder why I see tears in your eyes
When I say my mother lives with God
But I wonder why I see tears in your eyes
When I say one day God will love me too
But I wonder why I see tears in your eyes
When I say I will also see my Mom one day
But I wonder why I see tears in your eyes
When I say I was praying for her
But I wonder why I see tears in your eyes
When I say I was talking with her
But I wonder why I see tears in your eyes
When I say the brightest star is my mom
It is what I have been told always….
But I wonder why I still see tears in your eyes….

Eda its a beautiful poem. I love the second stanza soooo much. It speaks of loss and somehow makes it seem as if its not a loss after all.
But trust me loss is a loss … I love the poem sweetsy

Thank you da. Actually I was inspired by the movie Daivathirumagal. Just gave a thought from a child’s point. It’s such an innocent view if we take it that way. But I know da loss is always a loss…
